This September we were incredibly lucky to be part of the RAF STEM Event held at RAF Lossiemouth, highlighting careers available in the area to young people. Of course agriculture features heavily.
This year is our 3rd year attending the brilliant Moray based event where every single P6 class was invited to attend and they all thoroughly enjoyed the event.
STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths) play such a huge part in Agriculture and Food Production but sometimes it is overshadowed by the more obvious industries. But Science is all around us in Food Production.
We are indebted to the brilliant RNCI volunteers, RAF staff and Maxine Garson (Moray Council) for the hard work to put on this event and highlight to children how agriculture is one of the oldest STEM industries.
