Count & Grow with Superspud 2011

Work with Superspud to win a Smart Board for your school!
For the 2011 project Count & Grow with Superspud has joined forces with the Grow Your Own Potatoes project to offer 400 lucky primary schools in Scotland the opportunity to have a RHET volunteer farmer assist them.
The first step is to register your school online for the Grow Your Own Potatoes project, run by the Potato Council.
http://www.potatoesforschools.org.uk/
Closing date for registration is Friday 4th February 2011
Once registered, 400 Scottish primary schools taking part will be given the chance to be assigned a local volunteer farmer, to help with the project. This will be organised by the Royal Highland Education Trust (RHET). Your farmer will visit the school during the project to talk about food, farming and growing potatoes.
In addition ALL Scottish primary schools registered for Grow Your Own Potatoes have the chance to win a Smart Board for their school by entering the fully cross-curricular Clydesdale Bank Count & Grow competition.* Scottish schools can take part in the maths and numeracy competition and be assigned a farmer by contacting RHET on 0131 335 6227.
The maths and numeracy project contains downloadable workbooks.
Key dates for the project:
Chitting to start by Tuesday 1st March 2011
Plant before Tuesday 15th March 2011
